BATHYMETRIC BUOY DAFNE

Requirements:
– to know at any time of the year and in real time the water height of lakes and reservoires.
– To know in real time the remaining volume of the water bodies .

Idrometro Heidi

Solution:
The Dafne bathymetric buoy is especially designed for monitoring small reservoirs, lakes and other water bodies with depths of less than 100 meters. Its lightness and compactness allow its easy and quick installation by adopting a double-anchor system that does not interfere with the ultrasonic transducer (echosounder).

The use of “standard” components and the use of Open Source microcontrollers also allow for a significant reduction in material and assembly costs. The data transmitted from the buoy can be viewed in real time on the Internet on a dedicated dashboard  directly managed by Openvironment.net. The data are downloadable in Excel format for later processing.

The ultra-low-power microcontroller, particularly during deep sleep phases (inactivity between readings), allows, with the solar panel support, virtually unlimited autonomy while reducing hardware interventions to a minimum.

P.S.: in order to know in real time not only the depth but also the residual reservoir volume, it is necessary to carry out in advance the integral bathymetric survey of the reservoir itself. For a quote you can contact us at: info@openvironment.net
